So Soapy Say Goodbye and Thank You

For a variety of reasons, mostly good ones, we have taken the very difficult decision not to be So Soapy any more. After a brief closing down sale for our local customers the business will be wound up and we'll be able to have a jolly good rest!

So Soapy has been a thoroughly enjoyable adventure and we've had a great time, meeting lots of lovely people. Its been a joy to make and sell a really good product which we hope has been appreciated by a good few people.
We reckon we've made and sold near to 100,00 bars of soap entirely by hand, its a wonder we've got any hands left! But it was never our intention to do it forever and now is the time to move on.

However, its impossible to give up soapmaking altogether once its in the blood, so we'll be continuing to supply a few favourite customers but not as So Soapy. Our energies will instead be directed towards growing unusual fruit and vegetables as the Red Leaf Farm Co-Operative www.redleaffarm.co.uk, and making a bit of soap with honey from our own bees. Any energy we have left will go towards supporting our other interests, our local Community Supported Agriculture Scheme and Community Orchard.

We would like to thank all of our lovely customers for your support and loyalty. Some of you have become more like friends than customers sending us thank yous, cards and even gifts! We hope that you will find another soap you enjoy just as much as ours and if you're really desperate do get in touch and if we've got any left we'll see what we can do!

Yours in soapiness,

Sara & Dave
(Not quite so soapy anymore!)
